My name is _________, and I’m an alcoholic.  May we start this meeting with a moment of silence, followed by the Serenity Prayer?

Hello everyone. Welcome to the Good Morning Group’s ZOOM meeting of AA.

I am going to mute everyone’s microphone now. If you would like to speak, please click the icon that says “more”. Then, you can choose the option to “raise your hand” and the meeting leader will recognize you.

Are there any AA related announcements?

Are there any Non-AA related announcements?

AA Preamble:  Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.  The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.  There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.  AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes.  Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Is there anyone here attending their first ZOOM GMG meeting?   Welcome!

Please be considerate of others and give them the opportunity to share by keeping your share brief and limited to 3 minutes.  Please address your comments to the meeting leader. This group welcomes newcomers and encourages them to share.

Please refrain from profanity, disruptive behavior, side talk, or cross talk of any kind. In order to respect those that are sharing, we ask that you refrain from using the Zoom chat feature to send messages to the entire group (everyone) during the meeting. The meeting room will be open every day 30 minutes before the meeting and 15 minutes after to allow for fellowship and conversations.

In accordance with our 7th Tradition, group contributions can be made via PayPal on our website

We have a phone list available to all. If you would like to add your name and number to the list, obtain a copy of the list, or have any other questions, you can reach us at, and a group member will reply to your message as soon as possible.

Please be aware that others can see what you are doing when your video is on. Try to place your device on a stable surface and turn video off if you need to move around.

Please respect the anonymity of anyone you see here as they are asked to respect yours. Do not take any screen shots or record audio or video of this meeting. If you are concerned about maintaining anonymity you may change your screen name when you log in or turn off your video. There is an option to call into the meeting from a landline or other phone, for members who do not have access to a computer or smart phone.

The opinions and comments expressed here will not necessarily be those of this group or AA as a whole.

If you wish to become a member of the Good Morning Group, please email us at or chat with a member before or after the meeting. All members raise your hands.

We meet at 7 AM every day.

Our business meeting is the 2nd Saturday of the month immediately following this meeting.

I’ve asked a Friend to read How It Works from pages 58-60 of the Big Book.

I’ve asked another Friend to read the Daily Reflection,

Before we begin the sharing portion of our meeting, we would like to remind you this this group discourages cross-talk, which is commenting directly on someone's share, using someone's name, or giving advice. Please share from your own experience.

Does anyone, PARTICULARLY A NEWCOMER, have a problem, topic, or a question about recovery that needs discussing?

We’ve got time for a Burning Desire, which is the desire to drink or use. Members are available following the meeting to discuss a burning desire.

This Group encourages Sponsorship.  May we have a show of hands of all those available to be a sponsor?  Feel free to talk with anyone after the meeting, even if they didn’t raise their hand.

I’ve asked a Friend to read the 9th Step Promises.

Anyone with a year to more of sobriety, please raise your hand.

I’ve asked a Friend to do the chips.

I am going to unmute everyone’s mic’s so we can close with The Lord’s Prayer.

Meeting Leader leaves room open for an additional 10-15 minutes or until everyone has left.
